Our range of preserving equipment includes a selection of preserving pans (maslin pans), plastic food buckets and plastic jerry cans. Four different jam pans are stocked ranging in size from 4.5 litres to 9 litres. Choose from enamel or stainless steel. A 20cm pan rack is also available. Food buckets come in 3 sizes: 1 litre, 2.75 litres and 5 litres. Plastic jerry cans come in 1 litre or 5 litre sizes and we also sell a handy demijohn in clear or coloured glass.

We have a great range of preserving tools, thermometers and funnels -all the essential gadgets you will need to make perfect jam, pickles or chutney!  We stock food safe plastic funnels in 3 sizes: 4”, 5” or 6”. Also stocked are 4 different stainless steel funnels including one that is adjustable, a non-stick version and polypropylene food funnels. Our 3 different cooking thermometers will suit all budgets and other nifty gadgets include, jar lifting tongs and pens especially for labelling glass.

Strainers or straining kits are essential equipment in the preserving kitchen. Cheese cloth is useful for straining or basting. Meanwhile, our butter muslin can be used for straining, steaming or preserving. Both are handy to have around. There’s also a machine washable cotton straining bag for those who don’t need a kit. For those who do, we have 2 kits to choose from.

We have assembled two jam making kits in standard and deluxe versions which make fantastic gifts. Each kit includes some of our bestselling lines and either version includes enough to get your started – even labels.  Also here you’ll find some of the most popular preserving books including titles designed for beginners. So whether you’re just starting out or not, there will be a book you can use to expand your repertoire! 

Customising jars with labels and covers is part of the fun of preserving! Our selection of preserving labels is very wide indeed. Some styles have fruit or vegetables on them, such as the labels by Words of Art. These coloured labels with everything from lemons to onions are stocked and they really are very beautiful.  Other styles have monochrome or coloured patterns on them.  All labels are self-adhesive and packs vary in size.

Paper or fabric jam jar covers, provide the finishing touch to jars, and most covers stocked will fit 1lb to 2lb jars. Fabric covers are offered in assorted or themed packs such as fruity or floral and themed fabric cover packs include ribbon. In this section you will also find our accessories kits in a choice of themes. These work for jars up to 1lb and include heat sealing jam jar covers, wax discs, rubber sealing bands and self- adhesive labels.
