In line with our company values, we are very pleased to present our range of environmentally sound takeaway packaging, table wares and accessories. As a business we are committed to reducing our impact on the environment wherever possible and encouraging our customers to do the same.
Our Vegware range of plant-based disposables can break down in under 12 weeks in commercial composting. Paper and card products are sustainably sourced using recycled content wherever possible.
What is PLA and CPLA?
PLA is a compostable bioplastic derived from plant sugars. PLA stands for polylactic acid, it can be made from any sugar such as corn starch, sugar cane or cassava. NatureWorks is the worlds largest producer of PLA, which is a key partner to Vegware.
CPLA is also known as crystallized poly lactic acid. It is a heat resistant variation of the PLA material. This material is not only made from annually renewable plant-based material and contains no BPA or other chemicals of concern, but its fully microwavable and compostable too!
