Branding of glass jars and bottles

We’re very excited to be writing today’s blog post, as we’re going to
tell you all about a brand new service that has recently launched at
Wares of Knutsford. Whether you are an artisan producer looking to take
things to the next level or you’re a large company that’s thinking of
rebranding or redesigning your glass-based products, this will be of
interest. Even if you are just about to launch a new food or drinks
business, what we’ve got to announce may just help get your new venture
off to a flying start.
For years, we have received regular enquiries about branding glass jars
and bottles from companies both large and small. Now, at last, we’re
delighted to announce that we have partnered with an expert in the field
to bring this service to our business customers. Having collaborated
with our branding partner on many projects in the past, we are confident
that we can deliver premium branding services on glass bottles and jars
of all sorts of shapes and sizes.
What will branding glass jars and bottles do for my business?
Whether your business is relatively small or a household name, it’s
vital to build a brand identity that is strong, consistent and
attractive. Your brand covers everything from your logo to your choice
of colours, typeface and imagery, as well as the story behind the
company and its mission and outlook. Presenting your brand effectively
across all of your products and your marketing materials is essential if
you want to build a high-growth business that really gets noticed.
Whilst we can’t offer a full brand identity service for your business,
we can now help with one of the most complicated parts of the branding
process - branding glass bottles and jars with your own designs. From
simple, minimalist designs to full-colour options with special effects,
we can produce exciting and attractive branding solutions on bottles and
jars of all sorts of shapes and sizes.
What are the options for branding glass jars and bottles?
There are several different branding processes that can be applied to
glass jars and bottles, with screen printing being the most commonly
used option. With this process, each design is broken down into unique
colours and then each colour is applied in turn to the glass jar or
bottle to build up a multi-colour design with a real wow factor.
Another exciting option is pad printing. With screen printing, there is a
limit to the number of colours that can be used, since each colour is
applied separately. By using transfers and decals, however, there is
literally no limit to the number of colours and tones that can be used,
since all colours are applied simultaneously, in a single pass. This is
the ideal solution for shaped jars and bottles, where other design
processes cannot be used because of the curves and contours of the
target.
For those of you offering products targeting the luxury end of the
market, foil decals can offer a real sense of elegant sophistication to
any jar or bottle. Again, multiple colours can be applied if the design
calls for it.
For drinks producers, shrink sleeving could be just what you’ve been
looking for. Your all-over design is applied to each bottle, and
literally shrinks to fit, hugging every contour of the glass bottle for
maximum impact. When bottle and branding blend so seamlessly in this
way, the overall impact is heightened, leaving customers engaged with
the brand and motivated to buy.
Working with us
As we mentioned earlier, in order to offer this service, we have
formalised a partnership with a specialist branding firm that we have
worked with for many years. When we receive an enquiry for branded
products, we will bring in our partners to review logos, design ideas,
application requirements and timeframes, and our partners will then
produce design mock-ups for client review.
When the client is happy with the proposed design and has chosen their
glass jars or bottles, samples will be produced for sign-off. With
plenty of time for client review and revision of the design, as well as
expert support along the way, the full production run will go ahead only
when the client is 100% happy to proceed. Of course, once the initial
design and development stage has been completed, subsequent production
runs can be undertaken with impressive turnaround times.
